Greig Lake incorporated as a resort village on January 1, 1983.[2] In the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, Greig Lake had a population of 24 living in 16 of its 44 total private dwellings, a change of 140% from its 2016 population of 10. With a land area of 0.1 km2 (0.039 sq mi), it had a population density of 240.0/km2 (621.6/sq mi) in 2021.[7] In the 2016 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, the Resort Village of Greig Lake recorded a population of 10 living in 5 of its 89 total private dwellings, a -56.5% change from its 2011 population of 23.
