The Rural Municipality of Paynton No. 470 (2016 population: 255) is a rural municipality (RM) in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan within Census Division No. 17 and SARM Division No. 6. It is located in the northwest-central portion of the province. The RM of Paynton No. 470 incorporated as a rural municipality on January 1, 1913.[2] The following urban municipalities are surrounded by the RM. The following unincorporated communities are within the RM. In the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, the RM of Paynton No. 470 had a population of 238 living in 104 of its 127 total private dwellings, a change of -6.7% from its 2016 population of 255. With a land area of 588.62 km2 (227.27 sq mi), it had a population density of 0.4/km2 (1.0/sq mi) in 2021.[7] In the 2016 Census of Population, the RM of Paynton No. 470 recorded a population of 255 living in 106 of its 135 total private dwellings, a -4.9% change from its 2011 population of 268.
