The Rural Municipality of McCraney No. 282 (2016 population: 310) is a rural municipality (RM) in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan within Census Division No. 11 and SARM Division No. 5. It is located in the south-central portion of the province. The RM of McCraney No. 282 incorporated as a rural municipality on December 13, 1909.[2] Notable geographical features in the RM include the Allan Hills, Arm River, and Vanzance Lake. The following urban municipalities are surrounded by the RM. The following unincorporated communities are within the RM. In the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, the RM of McCraney No. 282 had a population of 280 living in 114 of its 136 total private dwellings, a change of -9.7% from its 2016 population of 310. With a land area of 944.47 km2 (364.66 sq mi), it had a population density of 0.3/km2 (0.8/sq mi) in 2021.[7] In the 2016 Census of Population, the RM of McCraney No. 282 recorded a population of 310 living in 127 of its 133 total private dwellings, a 1% change from its 2011 population of 307.
