Clandonald is a hamlet in central Alberta, Canada within the County of Vermilion River.[2] It is located approximately 28 kilometres (17 mi) north of Highway 16 and 58 kilometres (36 mi) northwest of Lloydminster. The hamlet takes its name from Clan Donald, a Highland Scottish clan.[3] In the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, Clandonald had a population of 117 living in 46 of its 56 total private dwellings, a change of 7.3% from its 2016 population of 109. With a land area of 0.47 km2 (0.18 sq mi), it had a population density of 248.9/km2 (644.7/sq mi) in 2021.[1] As a designated place in the 2016 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, Clandonald had a population of 109 living in 46 of its 61 total private dwellings, a change of 0% from its 2011 population of 109.
