With a land area of 4.67 km2 (1.80 sq mi), it had a population density of 467.5/km2 (1,210.7/sq mi) in 2021.[3] In the 2016 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, the Town of Calmar recorded a population of 2,228 living in 842 of its 861 total private dwellings, a 13.1% change from its 2011 population of 1,970.
