With a land area of 20,915.18 km2 (8,075.40 sq mi), it had a population density of 0.1/km2 (0.2/sq mi) in 2021.[2] In the 2016 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, Northern Sunrise County had a population of 1,891 living in 712 of its 798 total private dwellings, a 5.6% change from its 2011 population of 1,791.
